Just uploaded my first deviation in more than six years. Whether I'm fully "back", I can't say. Time will tell, but enjoy in the meantime.

ATTENTION ALL MY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS! As you may have realized, my activity on DeviantArt has been noticeably subdued for quite some time (talking years, not months). I won't bore you with all the reasons, some of which I'm not entirely certain of myself, but from now on I am going to make more of an effort to post new things on my account, or at least clean up/organize what I have in place already. Looking back at years-old submissions and favorites, I realize that a lot of them could use some sprucing up, so we'll see where things go.
Big Depressing News Dump
My Halloween plans were just derailed and I need to vent for a minute. Long story short, I took a day off from work for a very special celebration, and now I learn that that celebration is actually happening tomorrow, not on Halloween itself. Currently trying to salvage my plans (have some ideas in the works).
Some people may say that things like this are just part off being a grown-up, and that holidays like Halloween become less relevant/important to acknowledge as one gets older. I'm well aware of this viewpoint, but frankly I don't give a damn. The occasion is important to me, and I acknowledge it however I can, come Hell or high water.
Avengers trailer
I recently posted a piece featuring Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch to my gallery in early anticipation of the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Today, the first trailer was released on IMDB and I pounced on it with enthusiasm.
Unfortunatley, my first glimpse of this highly anticipated blockbuster wasn't all I hoped it would be. While the trailer showcased many of the action scenes expected of such a feature- and they looked fabulous!- it was pretty short on substance. The action scenes essentially piled onto one another until it became hard to digest them all, and very little was revealed in the way of plot details.
