Following in the footsteps of my first two series' of TV characters (NCIS and Bones), I decided to take the plunge and drape the agents of NCIS: Los Angeles in the fantasy mantle.
As far as spin-offs go, I tend not to be a fan unless the stories they add to the original material are both sophisticated and believable (that is to say, in line with the established canon). In this case, however, not only were the characters equally well-developed, but the dynamics and environment of the show were different enough from the original NCIS series to offer a completely fresh take on themes and ideas I had already admired for some time.
In line with my previous series', I tried to choose colors, shapes and styles for the characters that reflected their personalities, skills and role within the team. Enjoy.
Special Agent Sam Hanna, credentials:
•Former Navy SEAL

•Skilled at recognizing and disarming explosive devices
•Skilled at recognizing and disarming explosive devices
•Foreign languages: Arabic, Farsi, Pashto, Spanish and Japanese
•Strong sense of honor, determination and teamwork (which sometimes gets him in trouble)
•Knowledgeable about warrior cultures (Spartans and Gurkahs)
•Easy-going and good-natured but a force to be reckoned with in nearly any situation
•Places high value on health and fitness (and gets on his colleague's cases when they disregard said values)
Since Sam is such a large man, I positioned him further back in the frame to emphasize his height and chose clothing items that broadened his upper body. His usual clothing is not exactly somber, but it does tend to be darker than most of his colleagues, so I choose deep rich shades of colors that he's been seen wearing throughout the series.
